The Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, Shanghai Jiaotong University, is an important part of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of System Control and Information Processing, which is affiliated to the Department of Automation, College of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering.The research team is led by Professor Yang Jie. The team members include the research team of the national Jie Qing (Professor Shen Hongbin) and the young Qianren (Associate Professor Huang Xiaolin). The team focused on health and safety pattern recognition methods and computational vision, and conducted long-term research in machine learning, computer vision, pattern analysis and data mining, smart medical, bioinformatics, etc., and obtained fruitful research results. Including seven provincial and ministerial level scientific research achievement awards, a national excellent doctoral thesis and many excellent doctoral thesis awards of Shanghai and the Society (China Automation Society, China Artificial Intelligence Society).
