Global Young Scientists Summit 2019 (GYSS2019) was held at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from January 20th to January 26th,  As the third "Academic Star" of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Fanghui Liu, was invited to attend.
      GYSS invites many Nobel Prize winners, Fields Prize winners, Turing Award winners and young science and technology workers under the age of 35 to discuss the development of the field and share the path of scientific research growth through conference reports and roundtable discussions. There is a greater influence within it. At this meeting, Fanghui Liu presented the research results “Learned Flexible Kernels in Machine Learning”. Many scholars have a high interest in this research and have conducted in-depth discussions with Fanghui Liu.

      After returning to school, Fanghui Liu described the observations during the meeting. He said that in the meeting, he can listen to the invited reports of many Nobel Prize winners in various fields, and discuss the latest developments in the research field with the academic big cows, which can give a lot of inspiration to his own research. On the other hand, participating in group discussions can also improve the level of individual academic exchanges. Finally, as a brother in the laboratory, Fanghui Liu expressed his expectations for the younger brothers and sisters, and hoped that the younger brothers and sisters could achieve even greater achievements.
